Description

The SL Boundary 114-S DW is a boundary microphone with no cable at all. It belongs to the SpeechLine Digital Wireless family and is aimed squarely at conference rooms, where the alternative is running microphone cables through furniture and then re-running them every time the table layout changes.

The half-cardioid pattern picks up the person in front of it and rejects most of what is going on across the table. A programmable microphone button can be set to push-to-talk, push-to-mute, toggle on/off or permanently on, and a two-colour LED ring makes the current state readable from across the room. Dedicated battery status LEDs mean the state of charge is obvious before a meeting rather than during it.

Charging is inductive or over USB; the CHG 2W wireless power transmitter for two units is available separately. The microphone works with the SL Rack Receiver DW and can be monitored and controlled remotely with Sennheiser Control Cockpit. It operates at 1880 - 1900 MHz — Wireless microphone systems are sold per frequency band and the band is fixed in the hardware. Confirm the band suits your UK licensing position before ordering — Sennheiser states that use is subject to local RF regulations, which in the UK means holding the appropriate Ofcom PMSE licence for the range you intend to use, or working only within a licence-exempt range.

Key features

Wireless boundary microphone

No cable to the table at all, so meeting room furniture can be rearranged without re-running microphone lines.

Programmable microphone button

Push-to-talk, push-to-mute, toggle on/off or permanently on, with a two-colour LED ring showing the state from a distance.

Inductive or USB charging

Charges wirelessly on the optional CHG 2W two-device charger or over USB, with dedicated battery status LEDs. Typical runtime 12 hours.

Remote monitoring and control
