Sennheiser SL Bodypack HM 1 Kit DW-3 Wireless Bodypack and Headmic Set

This kit contains the SL Bodypack DW transmitter and the SL Headmic 1 SB headworn microphone. It is designed to go with the SL Multi-Channel Receiver DW, which is not included — this is a transmitter-and-microphone kit, not a complete system.

The bodypack is built for speech and is compatible with Sennheiser neckband and lavalier microphones such as the SL Headmic 1 and MKE 1. Because transmitter and receiver talk to each other in both directions, nothing needs adjusting on the transmitter, and automatic frequency and interference management handles the link. The LC display shows the link name, battery charge and reception quality, there is an accessible mute switch, and the 3.5 mm input socket locks. Power comes from a rechargeable lithium-ion pack with external charging contacts and a USB socket.

The SL Headmic 1 SB uses the omnidirectional MKE 1 capsule on an adjustable neckband. Its metal frame weighs 7 g, which is the reason it survives all-day use, and a soft case that also takes a bodypack is included. The kit operates at 1880 - 1900 MHz — Wireless microphone systems are sold per frequency band and the band is fixed in the hardware. Confirm the band suits your UK licensing position before ordering — Sennheiser states that use is subject to local RF regulations, which in the UK means holding the appropriate Ofcom PMSE licence for the range you intend to use, or working only within a licence-exempt range.
