Description

The MKE 2 is the sub-miniature lavalier that television and theatre production has standardised on. Its frequency response is accurate enough to produce natural, uncoloured sound, and its size makes it both unobtrusive and easy to conceal in a costume or under a collar.

The dual-diaphragm construction and Sennheiser's Umbrella Diaphragm are there for one purpose: to survive sweat, which is what destroys lavaliers on a long run. An extremely thin, low-mass diaphragm gives it fast transient response, and the polar pattern is close to textbook omnidirectional. The cable is stranded and stainless-steel reinforced for strength and low contact noise. Two additional sound inlet caps are supplied so the high frequency response can be tailored on site.

This item is the black version with the evolution wireless connector. The bodypack transmitter is a separate purchase. Sennheiser's standard warranty is two years.
