Description

The MKE 1 is the smallest professional clip-on microphone Sennheiser makes, with a capsule just 3.3 mm in diameter. It exists for musicals, live shows and broadcast work where the microphone has to be effectively invisible and still sound like a proper microphone.

A moisture-resistant protective membrane, special gauze and a multi-purpose cap protect it in the conditions that make a hidden microphone fail — a performer under stage lighting for two hours. It handles up to 142 dB SPL, gives high speech intelligibility with clear, pleasant treble, and produces a full natural sound with low ambient pickup.

The cable is 1 mm in diameter, heavy duty, with a moulded anti-kink sleeve to minimise handling noise. Flexible tubes are supplied for attaching the microphone with clips or adhesive tape. This item is the black version with the evolution wireless connector; the bodypack transmitter is a separate purchase.
