Description
The Poly Studio E70 is a dual-lens smart camera built for large meeting rooms. Two 20-megapixel sensors sit behind a wide 120° lens and a narrow 70° lens, and Poly DirectorAI moves between them to keep the right people framed as a conversation travels around the table. Capture resolution is 2160p 4K UHD.
DirectorAI offers group framing, people framing and speaker framing, so the camera can either hold a wide view of the whole room or cut to whoever is speaking. Usable camera range is up to 7.6 m (25 ft), and a DirectorAI perimeter setting lets you exclude anything outside the meeting space. Room analytics include meeting participant counting. Because both sensors are 20 megapixels, the 7.3x zoom is digital but keeps detail well across a long room.
A motorised electronic privacy shutter physically closes the lenses when the camera is not in use. Connection is a single USB Type-C link to a room PC, or RJ-45 Ethernet with IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet; an external 12 V DC supply is available where PoE is not. The E70 is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, connects to Google Meet, and is deployed, monitored and updated remotely through Poly Lens.
One thing to plan for: the Studio E70 is a smart camera rather than an all-in-one video bar. HP's specification lists no integrated microphones or speakers, so room audio needs to be provided separately — for example by a Poly G7500 codec or a dedicated room audio system. Supplied with a wall mount kit, an Ethernet cable and a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable.
