Description
The Optoma ML1080ST is an ultra-portable short-throw projector weighing just 1kg. It uses an RGB triple laser light source rather than a lamp or single-laser phosphor system, which gives noticeably wider colour coverage than similarly sized portable projectors.
Resolution is Full HD 1080p with 1,200 lumens (550 ANSI) and a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The short throw lens has a fixed 0.78:1 ratio, putting a 100 inch image on the wall from just over 1.5 metres, which suits small meeting rooms, bedrooms and pop-up installations.
Auto keystone and auto focus mean it can be set down and used without manual alignment, and a carry bag is included for transport.
Worth noting the 550 ANSI lumen figure is the meaningful one for comparison against non-laser projectors, and image sizing is limited to 60 to 100 inches by the fixed lens.
