Description

Logitech Reach is a content camera for showing things rather than people. The camera head sits on an articulated arm that moves with one hand - 32.3 cm of horizontal travel, 31 cm of vertical travel, 360 degree panning and a ball joint at the head - so a presenter can swing it over a desk, a whiteboard sketch, a circuit board or a pair of hands and put it back without re-rigging anything.

The optics are built for close work. At maximum zoom out the camera covers a 30 x 55 cm desk area; at maximum zoom in it resolves a 7 x 13 cm patch, with 4.3x lossless magnification in between. Video is 1080p at 60 fps in MJPEG over USB-C, and a dual omnidirectional microphone with a noise reduction filter picks up the person talking over what they are showing.

Reach appears to the room system as a second USB camera, so it works with the video platform already in place rather than needing its own application. Logitech ships it in two mount options; this is the version supplied with the weighted base, which stands on the desk and needs no fixing to the furniture.
