Description

The C920 is the webcam most people picture when they think of a webcam. It records and streams 1080p at 30 fps through a five-element glass lens with autofocus, and a 78 degree diagonal field of view that frames a person and their immediate background.

Two omnidirectional microphones capture stereo audio from about a metre away, and RightLight 2 corrects the exposure automatically when the light behind the subject is stronger than the light on their face. On-camera H.264 encoding takes the compression load off the host machine, which matters on older desktops and in bandwidth-limited offices.

It connects over USB-A with no drivers, clips to a monitor or laptop, and has a quarter-inch thread for tripod mounting. For a general-purpose desk camera at this price it remains hard to argue with.
