The C270 is Logitech's long-running budget webcam and the cheapest way to put a usable camera on a desktop PC that has none. It captures 720p at 30 fps through a 55 degree diagonal field of view - a tight frame that suits one person sitting square to the monitor.

The lens is fixed focus and the sensor is 0.9 MP, so this is a call camera rather than a content one. A built-in mono microphone with a range of about one metre means no separate headset is strictly required, and automatic light correction lifts a dim picture to a usable one.

It connects over USB-A with no drivers and clips to a monitor, laptop or LCD display. For volume deployments where cost per seat is the constraint - training rooms, spare desks, temporary stations - it remains the obvious choice.
