That combination diffuses reflections and holds deeper blacks in a dim foyer, at the cost of some colour consistency when the screen is read from well off to one side. Check before you choose
- It is a VA panel, so colour and perceived contrast shift more than an IPS panel does when the screen is read from well off to one side. For a menu board mounted high above a counter, or a window people walk past at an angle, the IPS sizes in this range hold up better; choose this one for the matt front and the deeper blacks, not for wide viewing angles.
- Sources connect over two HDMI 2.0 inputs or one DisplayPort 1.2 input. No USB-C input is published for this model, so a laptop or a player with USB-C video output needs an adapter, and the two USB Type A ports are USB 2.0, which makes copying large media files onto the display slow.
- iiyama publishes no image retention protection specification for this range, so do not assume one is present. Will it still be readable with daylight on it?

What does the anti-glare coating actually change?
