The ultra low profile back can fits ceiling voids as shallow as 2.4 in., which opens up plasterboard soffits and tight service zones where a conventional in-ceiling speaker will not go. Coverage of 150 degrees conical for speech and 140 degrees for music means fewer speakers are needed to get even coverage in a low-ceiling space.

The housing is rated IPX5, so the speaker suits washrooms, covered walkways and other damp areas as well as ordinary interiors. A gland nut with two-wire pigtails and four watertight wire nuts is provided, and the 70/100V tap is set with a screwdriver adjuster on the baffle behind the magnetic grille.
