Description

A ceiling-mounted networked microphone in arctic white that uses a 64-element array and eight adaptive beams to cover a room from overhead on a single PoE cable.

The array forms eight beams that adapt to where people are actually talking, covering a 3.5 metre radius from the ceiling without anyone reaching for a table microphone. Audio and power both run over a single PoE Ethernet drop at under 5 watts, so the ceiling void needs one cable rather than an analogue run plus a power feed.

Wire hanging, a ceiling bracket and a drop-ceiling grid kit are all offered as separate parts, which covers exposed soffits, plasterboard and suspended tile ceilings. Moving the microphones overhead removes the cabling and clutter from the meeting table, which matters in rooms that are reconfigured or used for more than conferencing. Specifications on this page are taken from Cisco's published documentation for this part number.
