Description

The BR9708 is BenQ's flagship simulator projector, and the specification is built around colour accuracy rather than raw brightness. It covers 100% of DCI-P3 and 100% of Rec.709 from an RGBRGB colour wheel, and each unit ships with an individual factory calibration report showing delta-E below 2 — the kind of documentation that normally comes with a reference monitor, not a projector.

Resolution is 4K UHD at 3840 x 2160 from a blue laser light source rated at 20,000 hours normal and 25,000 in eco. Brightness is 2,600 ANSI lumens, appropriate for a controlled simulator enclosure. The interchangeable lens design supports short-throw projection up to 300 inches, with a 1.6x zoom, motorised vertical lens shift of ±50% and horizontal of ±15%.

Acoustically it runs at 30dB, quiet enough for a room where the projector sits close to the player. Input lag is 13ms at 1080p 120Hz. The connector panel carries two HDMI inputs with eARC for 7.1-channel audio, S/PDIF, LAN, 3D sync out, twin USB Type A and RS232. It is 525.2 x 145.7 x 392.2mm and 10.5kg, and does not have a built-in speaker.
