Description
The ATEN VE8662 is an AV over IP transceiver. Instead of a fixed matrix frame with a set number of inputs and outputs, sources and displays each get their own endpoint on a Gigabit network, and the switch fabric becomes the matrix — so the system grows by adding endpoints rather than by replacing the frame.
It is rated for True 4K@100m (Cat 5e/6, point to point). Endpoints can be grouped into video walls and split-screen layouts, and management is over the same network. The unit takes power over Ethernet, so a display-side endpoint needs only one cable.
It is designed to work as part of a system with the matching receivers in the same series and with ATEN's control software. Supplied to order from TopAV with ATEN's 36-month warranty.
