Description
The ATEN VE7835A is a 100 m active optical HDMI cable — a hybrid construction with fibre carrying the video and copper carrying the low-speed lines, terminated in a full-size HDMI plug at the source and a slim micro-HDMI plug at the display end.
The slim end matters in practice: it will pass through a 12 mm conduit or a wall plate cut-out that a moulded HDMI head will not, so the cable can be pulled through an existing route and adapted at the display. It carries no mains and is immune to the electrical interference that limits long copper HDMI runs.
It supports up to 4096 x 2160 / 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz (4:4:4). Supplied to order from TopAV with ATEN's 36-month warranty.
