Description

The SP-900P is Vision's most cost-effective powered pair, built for small meeting rooms and classrooms where the requirement is simply to make a laptop audible. The amplifier is in the master cabinet, the slave is passive, and a five-metre speaker cable is supplied to connect them.

A 5.25-inch paper woofer and a 0.5-inch Mylar dome tweeter form the two-way system, with a bass reflex port to extend the low end. Rated output is 2 x 27 watts dynamic and 2 x 15 watts RMS into 8 ohms across 50 Hz to 20 kHz. The dome tweeter disperses widely, so everyone in a classroom hears roughly the same level.

Rear-panel inputs are a 3.5 mm minijack and a 2-phono pair, and they are summed at the input stage, so there is no source selector to explain to a teacher. The volume dial and hard power switch are on the rear of the master cabinet. Wall brackets are supplied and allow side-to-side tilt, or the cabinets can be used on a shelf. Vision covers them with a lifetime return-to-base warranty.
