Description

The M1XE is ViewSonic's battery-powered pocket projector, and its numbers are set by portability rather than brightness. It weighs 800g, measures 166 x 138 x 54mm and runs for around 2.5 hours in normal mode on its internal 12,000mAh battery, so it will get through a film or a site presentation with no mains supply.

The LED engine is rated at 360 LED lumens on a 0.2-inch WVGA chip at 854 x 480, with a 120,000:1 contrast ratio and a 60,000-hour light source. The 1.2:1 throw ratio puts a 38-inch image at 1m and covers 24 to 100 inches over 0.64-2.66m, and keystone correction runs to ±40 degrees on both axes.

Audio comes from two 3W full-range cube speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, with Bluetooth 4.2 in and out so it can be used as a standalone speaker. Connections are HDMI 1.4, USB-C, USB Type A and 5GHz Wi-Fi, with 16GB of on-board storage (12GB usable) for playing media without a source device. A sleeve bag is supplied.
