For a corporate content system or a Windows application, fit the slot-in PC bay or add an external player; neither ships with the display.
What is the slot-in PC bay for?
It takes a ViewSonic slot-in computer so a Windows or Chrome session runs inside the display instead of a separate box on a shelf. The bay is empty as supplied. Ask for the slot-in PC to be quoted with the display if you need it, and note that fitting one shares the USB-C power budget.
Can I connect a laptop with a single USB-C cable?
Yes. The USB-C input carries video, data and up to 65W of charge over one cable. With a slot-in PC fitted the port supplies 15W instead of 65W, so a visitor's laptop may then need its own charger.
Can it be mounted in portrait?
Yes. ViewSonic lists landscape and portrait. Decide before installation, because the mount, the cable route and the content layout all change with orientation.
Are the built-in speakers enough for a meeting room?
Two 16W speakers are built in, which covers video playback and announcements in a typical meeting room. A large room, a noisy space or anything where speech intelligibility is critical should be quoted with external audio; 3.5mm and S/PDIF outputs are provided.
Should I choose the 65-inch CDE6531-1C or the 75-inch CDE7531-1C?
Choose by viewing distance and the smallest text people must read. ViewSonic lists both at 3840x2160, 500 nits, 24/7 operation, 8GB of RAM and one 65W USB-C input, and both have the slot-in PC bay, so the 75-inch model gives more area and no extra pixels.
