Description

The ViewSonic CDE55G3-1C is a 55-inch 4K commercial display from the CDEG3-1C series, and its defining feature is what it leaves out: there is no Android platform, no pre-installed apps and no background services. For estates in government, healthcare and finance that treat every networked OS as something to patch and audit, removing it removes the problem.

The panel is a 3840 x 2160 DLED-backlit LCD rated at 500 nits (typ.) with a 5000:1 contrast ratio and a 50,000 Hours backlight life. The surface is anti-glare with 3H hardness, and the display is rated for use in landscape or portrait — useful, because a lot of retail and wayfinding content is designed portrait.

Connectivity covers HDMI 2.1 inputs, USB-C and RS-232, and content can be played straight from a USB stick with failover if the primary source drops. Remote management runs through ViewSonic Manager and the built-in web UI, so displays can be powered, switched and monitored across sites. VESA mounting is 400x400 mm.
