Is the ViewSonic CDE4314-2C right for your reception?
For a reception or a corridor screen that shows the same thing all day.
Shortlist this where a screen has to be readable, reliable and left alone: a reception wall, a waiting area, a menu board or a corridor notice. It plays media from USB on its own, so there is nothing else to power or maintain. It is the simpler of ViewSonic's two 43-inch commercial models, so check the connection and audio requirements below before assuming it fits a meeting room.

Check before you choose
- This is not a touch display. There is no touch layer, no pen and no annotation, so nobody can interact with the glass. An interactive panel is the product for that.
- The USB-C port carries 15W, not 65W. A laptop will keep working but it will not charge from the screen, so plan for the laptop's own power supply in any presentation use.
- Decide whether the built-in Android is enough or you need an external player. USB playback and common signage apps run on the display, but a corporate content system or a Windows application needs a separate player, and this model has no slot-in PC bay.

No. It is a non-touch commercial display for signage and presentation. ViewSonic's specification lists no touch layer, no touch points and no pen. An interactive panel is the right product if people need to write on or tap the screen.

How much power does the USB-C port supply?
15W. That is enough to keep a small device topped up but not to charge a laptop while it presents, so bring the laptop's own charger. The port also carries DisplayPort video, USB data and Ethernet sharing over the same cable.
How many HDMI inputs does the CDE4314-2C have?
Three HDMI 2.1 inputs, with ARC on the third, alongside the USB-C input. That is enough for a fixed player and a guest source to stay plugged in without swapping cables.
Can it be mounted in portrait?
Yes. ViewSonic lists landscape and portrait, so it works as a portrait welcome or wayfinding screen. Fix the orientation before installation, because the mount and the cable route differ.
Are the built-in speakers enough?
