Description

The TeamConnect Ceiling Medium takes the microphones off the table and puts them in the ceiling, which is the only way to give a room genuinely flexible furniture. Its patented automatic dynamic beamforming follows whoever is speaking across a coverage area Sennheiser rates at up to 50 m², making it suited to medium-sized meeting rooms and lecture spaces.

Fifteen electret condenser capsules made in Germany do the work. Exclusion zones and a priority zone let you shape what the array listens to, so a corridor or a noisy air handling unit can be excluded. Talker position data can drive camera control. Intelligent Noise Control and TruVoicelift are both included, and the API is the encrypted Sennheiser Sound Control Protocol (SSCv2) over TLS 1.2, with IEEE 802.1x supported on the network side.

Output is Dante or analogue, power is PoE/PoE+ with daisy chaining and a single-cable mode, and the metal housing is easily paintable. Sennheiser notes that the TeamConnect Ceiling Medium is sold only as a kit, is password protected by default, and must be initialised with Sennheiser Control Cockpit before first use — audio stays muted until that is done. This item is the flush mount, black version. Warranty is five years.
