Description

The HSP 2 is Sennheiser's professional hands-free headworn microphone, built around a permanently polarised MKE platinum condenser capsule with an omnidirectional pattern. It is the microphone used when the performer has to be miked but must not look miked.

The neckband adjusts to any head size and sits clear of the shirt collar, so clothing rustle stays out of the signal. The boom is extremely thin at 1.1 mm in diameter, adjustable in length and angle, and can be fitted on either side. A patented umbrella diaphragm protects the capsule against sweat, which is the failure mode that ends most headworn microphones. All metal parts are coated by physical vapour deposition, and the connection cable can be swapped out rather than the whole microphone being replaced.

This item is the beige version with the evolution wireless connector. It includes a modular snap-on cable and a hard carrying case, and can also be used with the cardioid HSP 4 boom. Sennheiser's standard warranty is two years.
