Description
The EW-D 835-S Set is a complete system, not a bare transmitter: it pairs a lightweight handheld transmitter carrying Sennheiser's e 835 cardioid dynamic capsule, complete with an integrated mute switch, with a stationary half-rack receiver. It is aimed at singers and speakers who want digital reliability without a technician on hand.
Evolution Wireless Digital transmits in the UHF spectrum with a 134 dB audio input dynamic range, so no sensitivity adjustment is needed. Intermodulation is eliminated, which lets channels sit on an equidistant 600 kHz grid — 56 MHz of tuning bandwidth and 2,240 selectable frequencies give up to 90 channels. The Smart Assist app pairs and manages the system over Bluetooth Low Energy, and auto scan sets up a reliable link with very little effort. The bodypack or handheld runs up to eight hours on the two supplied AA cells, or up to twelve on the optional lithium-ion pack.
This set is the Q1-6 band, 470.200 - 526.000 MHz. Wireless microphone systems are sold per frequency band and the band is fixed in the hardware. Confirm the band suits your UK licensing position before ordering — Sennheiser states that use is subject to local RF regulations, which in the UK means holding the appropriate Ofcom PMSE licence for the range you intend to use, or working only within a licence-exempt range.
