Description

The e 935 sits a step above the e 835 in Sennheiser's evolution range and is the one to reach for when the voice has to carry over a dense band mix. It reaches to 18 kHz rather than 16, and the balance is deliberately different: transparent highs with warm, defined lower mids rather than a straightforward presence lift.

The cardioid pattern gives the feedback rejection that live stages demand, and a sealed air chamber stabilises the capsule so that handling noise stays out of the signal. A hum compensating coil deals with electromagnetic interference from lighting rigs and dimmer packs. The body is metal and assembled in Europe.

It is a dynamic microphone, so no phantom power is required, and it terminates in a standard 3-pin XLR. Sennheiser's standard warranty is two years.

Key features

Extended 40 Hz - 18 kHz response

More top-end air than the e 835, with warm and defined lower mids that keep a voice present in a dense mix.

Cardioid pattern for stage control

High feedback rejection makes it workable in front of wedges and at high stage volume.

Sealed air chamber capsule mount

Stabilises the capsule so grip and cable noise stay out of the signal.

Rugged metal construction

Built for touring, with a hum compensating coil to reject interference from lighting and power equipment.
