Projecta 10800072 Easy Install IR Remote Control (UK Plug)

This infrared remote control kit gives a Projecta or Da-Lite electric projection screen a handheld remote and, just as usefully, a way into a room control system. The receiver runs on 230 V / 50 Hz, has an integrated infrared eye, and is supplied with a one-channel handheld transmitter and a five-metre white cable.

Inside the receiver case are potential-free contacts. That is the feature to specify against: it allows the screen to be wired to a wall switch or to a control system's relay outputs, so the screen can drop automatically when the projector is switched on rather than needing someone to find the remote.

These controls are for Projecta and Da-Lite electric projection screens supplied with the standard tubular motor and a mains plug - Legrand AV's Easy Install plug-and-play arrangement. The screen plugs into the receiver box and the receiver plugs into the wall socket, so no screen rewiring is needed. They are not for screens ordered with the integrated RF motor option; those take the RF Motor accessories (4-Channel Remote Control 10800107 and RF Wall-Mounted Transmitter 10800108) instead. This version is supplied with a UK plug; the Swiss-plug equivalent is 10800073. Being infrared, the handset needs line of sight to the receiver eye - if that is impractical, the RF version 10800066 is the better choice. Warranty is two years.
