Description
The Panasonic PT-VMQ85 is the flagship of the VMQ85 series, a portable 4K LCD projector delivering 8,000 lm (ANSI) that Panasonic described, at launch, as the smallest and lightest 4K-class LCD projector above 8,000 lm. Weighing under 8 kg, it is designed for compact or challenging installation spaces such as simulator bays and dedicated experience rooms, and was showcased publicly at ISE with an interactive golf simulator demonstration. Image detail comes from 2-axis Quad Pixel Drive pixel-shifting technology producing 3840 x 2400 resolution, with a 1.6x optical zoom (1.09-1.77:1 throw ratio, extendable to 2.21:1 via Digital Zoom Extender) and wide lens shift (vertical +44%, horizontal +/-20%) covering a broad range of fixed-lens installation layouts. The laser light source is rated at approximately 20,000 hours in Normal mode and 24,000 hours in Eco mode. Connectivity includes two CEC-compatible HDMI inputs, an HDMI output, 4K DIGITAL LINK (HDBaseT), dedicated 100Base-TX LAN, USB Type-A and RS-232C serial control, and data-cloning over LAN or USB allows a configured main unit's settings to be copied to sub-projectors for fast, consistent multi-unit deployment.
