Description

Yeti Studio is the XLR microphone in the Yeti family - an active dynamic capsule rather than a condenser, which is the correct choice for a room that has not been treated. A dynamic capsule hears far less of the room reflections, keyboard and air conditioning than a condenser at the same gain.

It is active, meaning it carries its own preamplifier, so it does not need a cloudlifter or an unusually clean interface preamp to reach a usable level. The shockmount and pop filter are internal, which removes two things that would otherwise sit between the speaker and the microphone.

Being XLR, it goes into an audio interface or mixer rather than straight into a computer, which is the point: it is intended for a setup where the routing, processing and monitoring are already handled by a desk. This is the white finish.
