It exists because the PanaCast 50 has more in-room capability than most people will ever reach through software: camera presets, manual pan/tilt/zoom and volume. Putting those on a handset means someone in the room can reframe the shot or turn the level down without leaving their seat or opening an app on a laptop.

The PanaCast 50 supports the remote over Bluetooth Low Energy. This is an accessory: the video bar itself is a separate purchase.
