TopAV buying advice
Is the iiyama LH8664UHS-B3AG right for your reception?
The current 86-inch revision, for an estate you want to manage rather than visit.
Shortlist the LH8664UHS-B3AG for a foyer, a canteen, a retail floor, a concourse or a large meeting space where an 86-inch screen runs continuously and somebody has to keep it up to date remotely. It is the newer of the two revisions of iiyama's 86-inch signage display that we sell, and what it adds over the earlier B2AG is management and connectivity: Android 14 with iiSignage2 content management, iiControl device management and iiShare, twice the memory and twice the storage, and a USB-C input that carries video, data and 15W of power on one cable. The physical job is identical to the earlier revision: 47.9kg bare, 62.2kg boxed, 1938mm wide, which means a checked wall, a rated bracket and more than one person on the day.
Reasons to shortlist it
- Android 14 runs on the display with iiyama's full management set: iiSignage2 content management, iiControl device management, iiShare and EShare wireless sharing, iiBrowser, a media player and file manager, TeamViewer for remote support and FailOver input recovery. An estate of screens can be scheduled, checked and recovered from a desk rather than by walking to each one.
- It carries 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage on an MT9679 processor, double the memory and double the storage of the earlier B2AG revision of the same screen, so a busier layout with live data, a browser panel and scheduled media has room to run without leaning on an external player.
- The USB-C input carries DisplayPort Alt Mode 1.2, data and 15W of power delivery, so a visiting laptop connects on a single cable. Alongside it are two HDMI 2.0 inputs taking 4K at 60Hz, with CEC on both and audio return on the first for a soundbar or an amplifier.
- The IPS panel is 4K UHD at 3840 x 2160 and 500 cd/m2, anti-glare coated with a matte finish, so it stays readable from an angle. It mounts either way round, which makes the same screen usable as a wide wall display or a tall directory, and a wall mount bracket, guide, screws and anchors are supplied in the box.
- It is rated for 24/7 non-stop operation with a 50,000 hour MTBF figure, it is fanless so it makes no noise in a quiet reception, and it has anti image retention for layouts with a fixed logo or header. Control is available over wired LAN, RS-232c and IR, with WiFi 5 on both 2.4G and 5G bands.
Check before you choose
- Plan the install before anything else. The panel is 47.9kg bare and 62.2kg boxed at 1937.8 x 1108.8 x 79.6mm, so it is a two-person lift at the absolute minimum and realistically three once it has to go up a wall at height. The wall has to carry that load in shear: solid masonry, concrete, or a stud wall with steel reinforcement or a backing plate designed in, not plasterboard on cavity fixings. Check the bracket against the mounting pattern in the specification table on this page and against a load rating comfortably above the panel weight.
- Typical draw is 277W at energy class G, against 145W and class F on the earlier B2AG revision of the same screen. That is the price of the newer processor and the larger memory, and on a display rated to run continuously across a fleet it is a real operating cost. If running cost matters more than management features, price the B2AG as well before you decide.
- It is rated at 500 cd/m2, which is an indoor signage level, so it suits a foyer, a canteen, a corridor or a retail interior away from direct sun rather than a shop window or a sunlit atrium, which need the high-brightness tier of around 800 cd/m2. It also drops to two HDMI inputs where the earlier revision has three, and the housing is plastic rather than metal.
See the 86" on your wall, to scale
On a phone, point your camera at the wall and see the 86" there at its real size. On a computer, upload a photo of the wall (or scan the QR code to take one with your phone and it will appear here) and drag the display around it to scale.

What to plan before installing the LH8664UHS-B3AG
01
Check the wall, the route and the team
Confirm the wall construction and have the fixings specified against 47.9kg plus the bracket. Walk the delivery route before the day, since the boxed unit is 62.2kg and nearly two metres wide and will not turn every corner or fit every lift car. Agree how many people will be on site to hang it.
02
Choose the bracket and set the position
Match the bracket to the mounting pattern listed in the specification table on this page and to a load rating above the panel weight, and confirm it is rated for the orientation you intend, since both are supported. Keep the rear connections reachable for service and leave air around a panel drawing 277W typically. iiyama lists a 800 x 600 mm VESA pattern.
03
Content, network and sources
Decide whether the content runs on the built-in Android 14 system with iiSignage2 and iiControl, or on an external player or PC over HDMI or USB-C, and agree wired LAN or WiFi access with your IT team since scheduling, management and updates all travel over the network. Tell us if you want the bracket, the lift or the installation quoted alongside the display.
Display price is for the panel. Installation and optional equipment are quoted separately. Purchase-order terms are available to approved education customers.
Build a quote you can compare
Include these details in your project enquiry so the quote covers the room as well as the screen.
- Number of displays, site postcode and required date.
- Furthest viewing distance and available wall space.
- Wall type, fixed mount or adjustable trolley, and cable routes.
- Laptop model, teaching apps, and any camera or Windows PC needs.
Ask for separate equipment, delivery, installation and licence costs, with a total including VAT. Confirm warranty coverage and any registration requirements before placing the order.

iiyama LH8664UHS-B3AG questions answered
Who is the iiyama ProLite LH8664UHS-B3AG best suited to?
It fits large-format signage that runs unattended and needs to be managed remotely: a reception or foyer wall, a canteen board, a retail floor, a concourse, a queue or departure display, or a large meeting space driven from a laptop. It is a commercial panel rated for continuous operation rather than a television, and at 86 inches it is read across a room rather than from a desk.
What is the difference between the B3AG and the B2AG revision?
They are two revisions of the same 86-inch screen and we sell both. Physically they are identical in the ways that matter to an installer: 47.9kg, the same dimensions, the same mounting pattern, the same IPS panel at 500 cd/m2 and 1200:1, the same 2 x 16W speakers and the same 24/7 rating. This B3AG adds a newer Android release with iiControl device management and iiShare, 4GB of memory against 2GB, 32GB of storage against 16GB, and a USB-C input, and it draws 277W typically. The earlier B2AG has three HDMI inputs rather than two and draws 145W. Choose this one for management and one-cable connection, the B2AG for running cost.
How heavy is it and how many people does it take to install?
The panel is 47.9kg on its own and 62.2kg boxed, measuring 1937.8 x 1108.8 x 79.6mm. Two people is the minimum and three is more realistic once it is being lifted onto a wall at height, with suitable access equipment. Check the delivery route in advance, because a box nearly two metres wide does not fit every stairwell, corner or lift.
What sort of wall and bracket does it need?
A wall that can carry 47.9kg plus the bracket in shear at height: solid masonry, concrete, or a stud wall with steel reinforcement or a backing plate. Plasterboard with cavity fixings is not suitable for a panel this size. Have the fixings specified for the actual wall build, and check the bracket against the mounting pattern shown in the specification table on this page as well as its load rating.
Does it need a separate media player?
No. Android 14 is built into the display on 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage, with iiSignage2 for content management, iiControl for device management, iiShare and EShare for wireless sharing, iiBrowser, a media player, a file manager and FailOver input recovery, plus TeamViewer for remote support. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs and a USB-C input are there if you would rather drive it from an external player, a room PC or a laptop.
What can I plug into it?
Two HDMI 2.0 inputs taking 4K at 60Hz, with CEC on both and audio return channel on the first, plus one USB-C input carrying DisplayPort Alt Mode 1.2, data and 15W of power delivery. There are two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and 2 x 16W speakers. For control there is 10/100 wired LAN, an RS-232c port on a 2.5mm sub-mini jack and an IR input, with WiFi 5 on 2.4G and 5G.
Can it be mounted upright as a tall display?
Yes. iiyama lists both orientations for this model, so the same screen works as a wide wall display or as a tall directory, wayfinding panel or menu column. Set the orientation in the display settings and lay the content out to match before it goes up, and confirm the bracket you choose is rated for that orientation.
Is it bright enough for a window or a glazed frontage?
No. At 500 cd/m2 this is a standard indoor signage brightness, correct for a foyer, a corridor, a canteen or a retail interior, but not for a shop window or a glazed atrium with daylight falling on the screen, which calls for the high-brightness tier at around 800 cd/m2. Measure the light at the actual position before you commit to it.
How much power does it use?
Around 277W in typical use, 0.5W in standby and 0.3W switched off, at energy class G. That is roughly double the earlier B2AG revision of the same screen, which is the trade for the newer processor, the larger memory and the added management software. On a screen running continuously, and across several sites, it is worth costing out before you standardise on one revision.
Can it run all day, every day?
Yes. iiyama rates it for 24/7 non-stop operation with a 50,000 hour MTBF figure. It is fanless, so it stays silent in a quiet reception, and it has anti image retention for layouts with fixed elements such as a logo, a header bar or a static sidebar. The operating temperature range is 0 to 40C, which is worth checking if it is going into a recess, a bulkhead or a glazed space where air does not move.
