Consider it for a reception or lobby banner, a departures or arrivals board, a menu wall above a counter, a canteen or concourse information strip, or the front wall of a meeting room running a wide conferencing layout. It suits any position where the useful information is spread horizontally and where an estate would otherwise hang two screens next to each other.

Width. The panel is 5120 pixels across and 2160 down, so a wide layout runs as one continuous picture rather than being cut in half by the bezels of two displays butted together. On a menu wall that means more items in one glance; on a departures board more columns; in a meeting room a call on one side and a document on the other, both at readable size.

A single conventional widescreen source fills the height and leaves black bars down each side, which is rarely what anybody wants on a signage wall. The shape pays for itself only when the content is authored for it or when two sources share the canvas. The matte AG coated glass with 25 per cent haze helps with reflected light but cannot add brightness.

Two 20W speakers with a 20W subwoofer are built in, which is unusually capable for a signage panel and enough for announcements or a video wall with sound in a foyer. There is also a 3.5mm mini jack output if the audio goes to a house system. iiyama lists both landscape and portrait orientation, so the panel can be turned on its end as a tall column where the site suits it.

The display is 2182 x 943.8 x 85.2mm and weighs 44kg, rising to 63kg boxed. That is a multi-person lift on to a wall rated for the load, and the boxed width is the figure to check against your doorways, corridor turns and lift. Both are 21:9 at 5120 x 2160 with the same processor, memory, storage, input layout, speakers, WiFi 6E, OPS slot and 24/7 duty cycle, so the larger one adds size rather than capability. This 92-inch model uses a VA panel quoted at 5000:1 static contrast, which holds dark content better in a dim foyer, against 1200:1 on the 105-inch IPS panel, which trades that for a wider comfortable viewing angle from the side. This one is 2182mm wide, 44kg and 201W typical; the 105-inch is 2489.9mm wide, 53.5kg and 248W, and its mounting pattern is much less widely supported by generic brackets.
