Shortlist the LH8675UHS-B2AG for a large foyer, an atrium, a main reception wall, a canteen, a transport concourse or a showroom where the screen has to be read from right across the space and has to hold attention on its own. It is the only size in this range iiyama rates at 1400:1 static contrast rather than 1200:1, and it carries the same Intel SDM slot that defines the range, so the compute can be the customer's own rather than the display's. At 50kg it is a rigging and structural job, not a two-person wall hang.
Reasons to shortlist it
- The Intel SDM-L slot takes a standards-based compute module inside the chassis, powered and cooled by the display. An IT team that will not run vendor Android on its network can run its own Windows or Linux player behind the glass instead, which on a screen this size and this high up removes a player box, its power supply and its cabling from a position nobody wants to reach twice. The module is a separate purchase and does not come with the screen.
- Three HDMI 2.0 inputs with audio return channel on the third, plus a DisplayPort 1.2 input. That is one more HDMI than most signage panels carry, so a lectern laptop, a room PC and a player can all stay connected at once, and FailOver switches to the next live input by itself when a source drops out.
- Android 11 runs on the display with iiSignage2 content management, iiControl device management, iiShare and EShare wireless sharing and FailOver, on an eight core A311D2 processor with a G52 MP8 graphics core, 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage, plus a micro SD card slot for local media. Content is scheduled and updated over the network without anyone going near the screen.
- iiyama rates this panel at 1400:1 static contrast, above the 1200:1 quoted for the other IPS sizes in this range, on anti-glare coated glass at 25 percent haze. On a very large panel in a foyer with overhead lighting, both figures matter more than they do on a small one, because the whole surface is in view at once.
- It is rated for 24/7 non-stop operation, is fanless and has anti image retention built in, in a metal housing with a 50,000 hour MTBF figure. A fanless 86-inch screen adds no noise to an atrium, it can stay on every hour of the year, and a fixed logo or header bar will not burn itself into a panel this expensive to replace.
Check before you choose
- At 50kg and 1927 x 1098.5 x 57mm this is not a conventional wall hang. It needs a structurally rated fixing or a floor-supported mount, a lift crew, and an access route that will take a 65kg boxed load. Get the wall construction and the route surveyed before you order, because a screen this size that cannot be got into the room is an expensive problem.
- It draws 229W typically with 0.5W still used in off mode and carries energy efficiency class G. On a display rated to run continuously that is a running cost worth multiplying out over a year, and it is a meaningful step up from the 187W of the 75-inch model in the same range if the sightline does not genuinely demand the extra size.
- The panel is 500 cd/m2, an indoor signage level, and the compute module for the SDM slot is bought separately in the larger SDM-L format. An atrium with glazing behind or beside the screen may need the high-brightness tier instead, there is no USB-C input so a USB-C laptop needs an adapter, and the two USB Type A ports are USB 2.0.

Measure the furthest reading point and the smallest text in your content, then check the daylight falling on the position against a 500 cd/m2 panel. Landscape and portrait are both supported, but a portrait install at this size is a very tall object, so check the ceiling height and the bracket rating before you decide. Overhead lighting reflections are worth checking at the actual mounting height. iiyama lists a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern.

Decide whether the content runs on the built-in Android 11 system with iiSignage2, on an Intel SDM-L compute module inside the chassis, or on an external source over HDMI or DisplayPort, and agree network access with your IT team. What does the Intel SDM slot actually give me?
It is a standard slot for a plug-in compute module that sits inside the display and is powered by it. Fit one and the screen runs whatever that module runs, typically Windows, so the content platform is yours rather than the display maker's. On an 86-inch screen mounted high, it also means there is no player box, power supply or extra cable in a position that is awkward to reach. The module is bought separately.
Why would I use the slot instead of the built-in Android system?
Usually IT policy or an existing platform. Some organisations will not put a vendor Android device on their network, and others already run a signage, room-booking or dashboard application that only exists for Windows. A module in the slot gives them the operating system they already manage, with their own tooling, and none of the cabling of an external player. If daylight falls on the screen from glazing behind or beside it, the high-brightness tier that starts around 800 cd/m2 is the right specification instead. Measure the light at the exact mounting position and at the brightest time of day.
How much power does it use?
iiyama quotes 229W typical, 0.5W in standby and 0.5W in off mode, with energy efficiency class G. On a screen rated for 24/7 operation that is worth multiplying out across a year, and it is a clear step up from the 187W of the 75-inch model. If the sightline does not genuinely need 86 inches, the smaller panel is cheaper to buy and cheaper to run.
Can it run all day, every day?
Yes. iiyama rates it for 24/7 non-stop operation, it is fanless so an atrium stays quiet, and anti image retention is built in for layouts with fixed elements such as a logo or a header bar. The quoted MTBF figure is 50,000 hours excluding the backlight, and the operating temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees C, which is worth checking in a sunlit atrium as well as a cold entrance hall.
