A 65-inch 4K UHD signage display with an 800 cd/m² VA panel, roughly 60 percent brighter than the 500 cd/m² mainstream tier, at 5000:1 static contrast, with Android 14 on board, a fanless 24/7 rating and an IP5X-rated front face.
TopAV buying advice
Is the iiyama LH6566UHSB-B1AG right for your reception?
For a large, bright foyer or atrium where the screen is read from across the room.
Shortlist the LH6566UHSB-B1AG where the space is big and glazed: a double-height atrium, a hotel lobby, a large glass-fronted showroom, a station or airport concourse, a leisure centre reception. The 800 cd/m² panel is the reason this range exists, and at 65 inches the text is still readable from the far side of the room, which is what pushes a specification up from 55. The panel is VA at 5000:1 static contrast, so the picture keeps its depth once the daylight has gone. It is a high-brightness indoor display, not something for the outside of a building, and iiyama publishes no weather rating for it. At 1456.5 x 831.5 x 69mm and 17.81kg it is a firm two-person lift and wants a wall and a bracket rated for it.
Reasons to shortlist it
- The panel is rated at 800 cd/m², against the 500 cd/m² that iiyama's mainstream signage models carry. That is roughly 60 percent more light. In a glass-fronted atrium the ambient level swings wildly through the day, and this is the tier that stays legible at the top of that swing rather than only early and late.
- It is a VA panel at 5000:1 static contrast behind anti-glare coated glass with a matte finish and 25% haze. Contrast is what stops a large panel looking washed out in the evening, and the matte, low-haze coating is what stops a glazed wall or a lighting rig reflecting back across a screen this size.
- The front face carries an IP5X rating, which in the IP scheme is the dust figure rather than the water one. On a screen this size in a busy public space that is a maintenance fact as much as a protection one: less airborne dust finding its way behind the glass and showing as haze in a couple of years.
- iiyama rates it for 24/7 non-stop operation with a fanless chassis, anti image retention and a 50,000 hour MTBF figure that excludes the backlight. Anti image retention matters most on a screen like this, which often carries a fixed logo or a static header for months at a time, and fanless means silence in a reception and nothing to clog in a dusty concourse.
- Android 14 runs on the display on an MT9679 SOC with 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage, carrying iiSignage2 content management, iiControl, iiShare, EShare, FailOver, TeamViewer, a PDF and media player, iiBrowser and a file manager, with WiFi 5 on 2.4G and 5G. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs at 3840 x 2160 60Hz and a USB-C input with DisplayPort Alt Mode take an external source, and RS-232c, RJ45 and IR take control.
Check before you choose
- High brightness is not a weather rating. iiyama publishes an operating temperature range of 0 to 40C, a plastic housing and a front-face ingress rating only, so this belongs inside the building rather than on the face of it. The IP5X rating covers the front face; the rear of the chassis and the cable entries are not protected, and a glazed bay that traps heat needs checking against that temperature range.
- At 17.81kg and 1456.5 x 831.5 x 69mm this is a two-person install onto a wall that can genuinely carry it, and 39.63kg boxed on the 75-inch above it shows how quickly that escalates. Plasterboard without a suitable fixing or a backing plate is not enough, and the mounting pattern and supplied kit in the specification table should be checked against the bracket before anything is ordered.
- A VA panel trades viewing angle for contrast, and the 50-inch in this family is the IPS option. Head-on, 5000:1 gives much deeper blacks; read from a steep angle, from a walkway crossing diagonally or from a screen mounted well above head height, colour and contrast fall away sooner. Mount it as close to eye level as the room allows, and check the worst viewing position before committing.

On a phone, point your camera at the wall and see the 65" there at its real size. On a computer, upload a photo of the wall (or scan the QR code to take one with your phone and it will appear here) and drag the display around it to scale.

What to plan before installing the LH6566UHSB-B1AG
01
Measure the light and the viewing distance
Walk the space and note both the daylight falling on the glass and the furthest point people will read from. The 800 cd/m² panel handles the light; 65 inches handles the distance, and the two decisions are separate. Confirm the position is inside the building and within the 0 to 40C operating range, and that the sun does not sit behind the screen and throw the viewer into glare.
02
Plan the mount and the power
The chassis is 1456.5 x 831.5 x 69mm and 17.81kg, so plan a two-person lift and a wall or a floor stand rated for it, landscape or portrait. The mounting pattern and the kit supplied are listed in the specification table. Allow a socket behind the screen for a 194W typical draw, and keep the rear connections reachable because nothing at the back is sealed. iiyama lists a 500 x 500 mm VESA pattern.
03
Decide what drives the content
Either schedule the content on the built-in Android 14 system with iiSignage2 over WiFi 5 or the wired LAN port, or feed it from an external player or PC over HDMI or USB-C and let FailOver restore the picture when that source returns. Agree network access and remote management with your IT team early. Tell us if you want the bracket, a floor stand, the cabling or the installation quoted alongside the display.
Display price is for the panel. Installation and optional equipment are quoted separately. Purchase-order terms are available to approved education customers.
Build a quote you can compare
Include these details in your project enquiry so the quote covers the room as well as the screen.

iiyama LH6566UHSB-B1AG questions answered
Who is the iiyama ProLite LH6566UHSB-B1AG best suited to?
Anyone specifying a large screen for a big, bright public space: an atrium, a hotel lobby, a glass-fronted showroom, a concourse, a leisure centre or a corporate reception. It is a signage display built to run unattended for years, so it suits a welcome screen, a wayfinding board, a departures or arrivals panel or a rolling promotion rather than anything interactive.
What does 800 cd/m² actually buy me?
Readability where the ambient light is high. Mainstream signage panels sit at 350 to 500 cd/m², which is right for a corridor, an office or a room away from windows. At 800 cd/m² this panel puts out roughly 60 percent more light than the 500 cd/m² tier, which is what keeps content legible when daylight is falling across the glass. In a shaded atrium you would be paying for headroom you never use.
Can it be mounted outside the building?
No. This is a high-brightness display for indoor positions. iiyama publishes an operating range of 0 to 40C, a plastic housing and an ingress rating for the front face only, with no weather rating of any kind, and the rear of the chassis and its cable entries are unprotected. A screen that has to live in the open air needs a purpose-built enclosure or a display designed for exterior use, which this is not.
What does the IP5X rating cover?
The front face, and specifically dust. In the IP scheme the first digit covers solid particles and the second covers water, and a digit written as X means that figure is not stated, so IP5X is a dust claim with nothing said about water. It is the useful rating in a workshop, a garden centre, a builders merchant or a busy concourse. The rear of the chassis and the cable entries are not covered, so the position still has to be sensible.
What does the install involve?
The chassis is 1456.5 x 831.5 x 69mm and 17.81kg, 27.52kg in its box, so it is a two-person lift onto a bracket and the wall has to be able to carry it. Plasterboard needs a proper fixing or a backing plate behind it. The mounting pattern and the kit supplied are listed in the specification table, and a floor stand or a trolley is an alternative if the wall is not suitable. Allow a socket behind the screen for a 194W typical draw.
Does it need a separate media player?
No. Android 14 runs on the display itself on an MT9679 SOC with 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage, carrying iiSignage2 for scheduling, iiControl for device management, iiShare and EShare for wireless sharing, TeamViewer for remote support, a PDF and media player, a browser and a file manager, with WiFi 5 on 2.4G and 5G or a wired LAN port. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs and a USB-C input are there if you would rather drive it from a player or a PC, and FailOver brings the picture back on its own.
Can it run all day, every day?
Yes. iiyama rates it for 24/7 non-stop operation, with a fanless chassis, anti image retention and a 50,000 hour MTBF figure that excludes the backlight. That rating is the practical difference between this and a consumer television. Anti image retention is worth having on a screen that carries a fixed logo or a static header for months on end.
Does the USB-C input power a laptop?
Not a laptop. The USB-C input carries DisplayPort Alt Mode for video and 15W of power delivery, which will keep a phone or a small stick topped up but is far short of what a laptop draws. Plan on the laptop keeping its own charger, and note that the two USB Type A ports are USB 2.0 rather than 3.x.
Should I choose the 65-inch or the 75-inch LH7566UHSB-B1AG?
The panel specification is the same on both: 4K UHD VA at 800 cd/m² and 5000:1 static contrast, 2 x 10W speakers, Android 14, fanless 24/7 and an IP5X front face. What changes is the room. The 75-inch reads from further back and fills a taller wall, but it is 28kg against 17.81kg, 1679 x 957.1 x 69mm against 1456.5 x 831.5 x 69mm, and 219W typical against 194W. If the wall, the lift and the circuit all take it comfortably, the larger panel is the better read; if any of those is marginal, the 65-inch is the safer specification.
