Consider it for an atrium or reception banner, a long menu or departures wall, an operations or logistics dashboard, a transport concourse strip, or the front wall of a large meeting or briefing room. It suits sites where the information runs horizontally and where the wall is big enough to take a single 2.5 metre panel rather than a pair of screens.

Width, and the removal of a join. The panel is 5120 pixels across and 2160 down, so a wide layout runs as one continuous picture instead of being interrupted by the bezels of two displays butted together. On a menu or departures wall that means more columns readable in a glance; in a large room it means a call on one side and a document on the other without either being shrunk.

A single conventional widescreen source fills the height and leaves black bars down each side. On a panel this size those bars are very visible, so the format only earns its keep when the content is made for the shape or when two sources share the canvas. Check your templates and your video library before committing to the format.

It is larger than the patterns most off-the-shelf signage brackets are drilled for, and it uses M8 x 25 fixings. That means a bracket that fits your other large displays may simply not line up with this one. Check the mounting figure in the specification table against the bracket's published range, and confirm the fixing size, before the delivery arrives rather than on the day.

HDMI 1 and the DisplayPort input, both specified at 5120 x 2160 at 60Hz. HDMI 2, HDMI 3 and HDMI 4 are listed at 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, as is the USB-C input. Plug the source that has to fill the canvas into one of the two that carry it, or the picture will be upscaled from a smaller frame.

Android 13 runs on the display itself on an RK3588 octa-core processor with Mali G640 MP4 graphics, 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage, with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and two gigabit RJ45 ports. iiyama does not name a bundled content management client in this model's specification, so agree with your content provider which client will be installed on it, or drive it from an external player or an optional OPS PC module instead.

Typical draw is 248W, standby 0.5W and off 0.3W, and it carries energy class G, so an always-on installation should budget for the running cost as well as the purchase.

It is rated 500 cd/m2, an indoor signage brightness. That covers an atrium, a foyer, a concourse, a canteen or a meeting room under artificial light. It is not a shop-window product, and direct sun or a bright glazed frontage will wash it out; that position needs a high-brightness display. The matte AG coated glass with 25 per cent haze breaks up reflections but cannot add brightness.

The display is 2489.9 x 1081.4 x 77mm and weighs 53.5kg, rising to 79.5kg boxed. That is a multi-person lift on to a wall that has been confirmed to carry the load, and the boxed width and weight are the figures to check against doorways, corridor turns, lifts and the loading bay. This 105-inch model uses an IPS panel at 1200:1 static contrast, better for viewers standing off to one side; the 92-inch uses VA at 5000:1, which holds dark content better in a dim foyer. This one is 2489.9mm wide, 53.5kg and 248W typical against 2182mm, 44kg and 201W, and its mounting pattern is much harder to find a bracket for, so the smaller panel is the easier install by some margin.
