Description
The Epson ELPKM01 is a pair of wireless microphones made for Epson's LifeStudio smart projectors. They connect through a supplied USB dongle rather than pairing over Bluetooth, which is what keeps the latency below 40 milliseconds — the threshold above which singers hear themselves late and start dragging behind the track.
A dedicated karaoke DSP chip handles echo and reverb, suppresses background noise and limits howling from feedback. Six sound modes — Concert, Studio, Bar, Opera, Outdoor and Standard — change the character of the reverb rather than just the level, and both microphones work at once for duets.
Battery life is up to 15 hours of continuous playtime. Note that this is a projector accessory rather than an installation or conferencing microphone: it is designed to work with Epson LifeStudio projectors and not as a general-purpose wireless mic system.
