Description
The UC-CAMA-ADPT-ENET-USB solves a specific and irritating problem: the Huddly L1 camera runs on Ethernet, but a laptop or room PC expects a USB camera. This adapter sits between them. Ethernet in on RJ-45, USB-C out to the room device, and the camera appears as a standard USB Video Class (UVC) device with no drivers to install.
Because the camera side is Ethernet, the L1 can be several tens of metres from the table on a single structured cable, and the adapter feeds it PoE at the same time - so the camera needs no local power supply where it is mounted. That is what makes flexible BYOD rooms practical: the camera goes where the sightline is good, and the adapter goes where the laptop is.
Being UVC, it works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and anything else that takes a USB camera. The housing is aluminium, 82 x 82 x 27 mm and 0.2 kg. Note that the adapter itself requires an external 5 V 3 A supply to provide PoE to the camera. This is Crestron material number 6513792, which Crestron's public pricing feed currently reports as active and not discontinued.
