Description

The MH550 is BenQ's entry Full HD meeting-room projector and a straightforward answer to a room that needs a 1920 x 1080 image without a rebuild of the cable infrastructure. 3,500 ANSI lumens and a 20,000:1 contrast ratio cover a room with the lights on, and native 16:9 means widescreen laptop output arrives on screen without letterboxing.

The optics are conventional and predictable: a 1.49-1.64:1 throw ratio with 1.1x zoom and a 100% projection offset, so a ceiling mount squares up without keystone correction in a standard room. Vertical keystone of ±30 degrees is there for the installs where it does not.

Connectivity is deliberately broad rather than modern, which is the point in an estate that still has legacy kit: two HDMI 1.4a inputs, D-sub in and out, composite and S-Video, RS232 for control and a 3.5mm audio pair. BenQ's SmartEco lamp management extends light source life to 10,000 hours, and LampSave mode to 15,000 hours. The chassis is 296 x 120 x 221mm and 2.3kg.
