Description
The ATEN VE3912T is an HDBaseT transmitter for sending HDMI over structured cabling. It replaces a long, lossy HDMI run with ordinary Cat 5e/6 between the source rack and the display, which is what makes lecture theatres, boardrooms and digital signage practical to wire.
Video is carried at up to HDMI/DisplayPort:. Control passes down the same cable, so IR and RS-232 from the head end still reach the display, and PoH powers the far end from the near end so no mains socket is needed behind the screen.
Housing is metal. Supplied to order from TopAV with ATEN's 36-month warranty.
