Description

The ATEN KH1508Ai is a rack-mounted KVM switch that puts 8 servers behind a single keyboard, monitor and mouse. Its over-IP console adds browser-based access, so the same estate can be reached from a desk elsewhere on the network or across a VPN without another console being wired in. Cascading takes the addressable total to 128 (via daisy-chain).

Server connections are 8 x RJ-45 Female. The local console attaches through 2 x USB Type-A Female (White), 1 x 6-pin Mini-DIN Female (Purple), 1 x 6-pin Mini-DIN Female (Green), 1 x HDB-15 Female (Blue). Ports can be selected by OSD; Hotkey; Pushbutton. Video is supported to 1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz (non-FHD version) 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz (FHD version). Keyboard and mouse emulation covers PS/2; USB, so attached machines boot cleanly whether or not the switch is focused on them.

Deployed in an AV rack the switch removes the need for a monitor per source, and pairs naturally with ATEN's LCD console drawers and eco PDUs to build a single serviceable equipment stack. Operating temperature is 0 - 40°C. Unit weight is 2.68 kg ( 5.9 lb ). ATEN provides a three-year warranty. This item is available to order from TopAV.
