Description
The Acer Vero HL1820 uses a three-colour RGB laser light source rather than a lamp or a laser-phosphor wheel, which is what gives it its colour performance. It projects at native 3840 x 2160 with 2,000 ANSI lumens and a quoted 3,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and it is HDR10 compatible.
Installation flexibility is good for a projector of this size. A 1.6x zoom and a 1.4 to 2.24 throw ratio place a 60-inch image at 1.9 m, and image sizes run from 26 inches to 303 inches. Four-corner correction of +/-30 degrees in both axes is available, with automatic vertical keystone.
Input lag is quoted at 4.2 ms at 240 Hz, so it handles fast content as well as film. A 15 W speaker is fitted, and the projector draws 175 W in standard mode against 105 W in ECO. The laser is rated at 20,000 hours standard and 30,000 hours in ECO, and the 2.9 kg chassis measures 286 x 216 x 115.5 mm.
