Description

The Acer PD1520Us is an ultra short throw LED projector in a very small package: 190 x 94 x 67 mm and 700 g. Its 0.26 throw ratio produces a 100-inch image from 0.4 m, so it can sit on a table right in front of the screen rather than needing a ceiling mount or a throw distance across the room.

It projects at native 1920 x 1080 with 500 ANSI lumens and accepts input up to 3840 x 2160. The LED light source is rated at 20,000 hours in standard mode and 30,000 hours in ECO. Focus is automatic, and four-corner correction plus auto keystone (+/-10 degrees horizontal, +/-5 degrees vertical) handles minor placement errors.

Wireless projection covers AirPlay and Miracast, which suits ad hoc use from phones and tablets. A 3 W speaker is fitted and power draw is 70 W in standard mode against 40 W in ECO. Image sizes are limited to 30 to 100 inches, which is the trade-off for the very short throw and the compact chassis.
