Description
The Optoma UHZ58LV is a 4K UHD dual laser home entertainment projector delivering 3,000 ISO lumens with a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Dual laser technology gives 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage, noticeably wider than a lamp-based projector at the same price point.
HDR10+ support adds dynamic metadata, adjusting tone mapping scene by scene rather than applying a single curve across the whole title, which preserves more detail in bright and dark areas.
PureEngine handles motion interpolation, detail enhancement and picture presets.
Installation is flexible, with a 1.6x manual zoom spanning 1.4:1 to 2.24:1 throw ratios and vertical lens shift from -103% to 118%, plus 360-degree projection. Screen sizes run from 20 to 320 inches at distances of 1m to 10m.
The laser light source is rated for 30,000 hours, so there are no lamp replacements over the life of the projector.
Sits below the UHZ78LV, which uses RGB triple laser, is brighter at 5,000 lumens and adds Dolby Vision.
